good news /bad news

Good news!! The chickens have survived outside for three days!!
my dad made this super duper extra cool chicken hut for them to romp outside and stay safe from big hunters that could take their life.
i love my dad.

the poppies remind me of a great friend in Colorado, and i love it when they bloom.

bad news? well, 5 more takers were born, right next to the house.

lovely.

Psalm 131

"O Lord, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high."
I do not occupy myself with things too great and to marvelous for me.
But i have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with it's mother;
like a weaned child is my soul within me.
O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time forth and forever more."

if there ever was a scripture made for the moment .. it's this.

the psalmist admits to the Lord that he's calm and quiet and relying on God in this moment of humility. chasing away all thoughts of anything that isn't from God himself. Like a child whose has been weaned from his mother.. he craves the milk that his mother won't give him.. for a properly weaned child needs meat and solid foods. but the psalmist soul is at rest in the knowledge that just to "be" with his creator is enough... fullfilling, like meat.

it's this prayer that I'm praying for you. that you rest in the knowledge that just being with God is enough.. and that hope He gives is plentiful.. and full of potential to teach you things.. if only you rest and "be" with Him. Calm. Quiet. Humble.

a touch of busy.

happyday started again! really thankful that it was nice out
to paint and pot our mother's day flowers.

We had a Princess/Pirate party at the library for all the littles.

a few Story Times... painting with "worms"

planting our flowers.

add to that volleyball for the middle world changer.

and you have a busy life.. but i wouldn't change it for nothin... cuz it leads my middle world changer to do things like this...

i love my life, but i would sleep easier if my garden was planted.
